SI Explorer File Menu - Remove English/Metric Units

 

 

This command can be executed from the SI Explorer's File Menu.

 

SpecsIntact typically will hide the unused Unit of Measure.  However, this feature will allow you to globally remove all English ENG or Metric MET Units, including their content, entirely from the selected Job.  This Units of Measure are controlled by the Job Properties > Options.  By default, Jobs are setup to use English Units, so when you choose to use this feature the software will default to remove the unused Metric Units.

 

If you want to permanently remove the English or Metric tags from only selected Sections in a Job or Master, use the Sections Menu > Remove English/Metric Units command.

 

Before executing this command, make sure to backup the Job since this feature will permanently remove the English or Metric Units.

 

Using This Feature

How to Remove English/Metric Units from a Job or Master

1. From the SpecsIntact Explorer, select the Job or Master you want to remove the English or Metric Units

2. Select the File Menu and choose Remove English/Metric Units

3. When the confirmation window opens, below Tags to Remove select either the Change [CHG] or Hightlight [HLS] option

4. Select OK.

 

If you do not want to remove the English or Metric Units in all Sections, you can de-select by clicking a SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction., thereby leaving the Section in the Job or Master unchanged.
