Technical Notes

Applies to:   Exchanging Jobs, Sections and Local Masters between version 4.2.0.778 and older SpecsIntact Versions

SpecsIntact 4.2.0.778 and newer

Now that SpecsIntact is fully XML compliant and supports MasterFormatâ„¢ 2004, it is extremely important to know how to exchange your Jobs, Sections and Local Masters with your clients and team members who maybe using version 4.1.0.653 or older.

SpecsIntact will automatically save your files in the XML format as soon as they are saved by the SI Editor.  It is possible the Job or Master you are working in may have mixed SGML and XML sections.  This is not a problem when working in the latest version of the software, but it is a problem if you are working on a Shared Working Directory with team members who have not yet updated.

!.gifMasters, Jobs or Sections containing MasterFormatâ„¢ 2004 Section Numbers and Titles are only compatible with SpecsIntact version 4.2.0.778 or newer.
