The Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master with MasterFormat® 2004 Section Numbers as well as Extensible Markup Language (XML) was released in April 2006. To learn more about MasterFormat 2004 visit the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) web site. To learn more about Exchanging XML Formatted Jobs, Masters and Sections see the Technical Note found in the Knowledge Base.

The Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) have replaced the construction guide specifications of the Army Corps of Engineers, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The UFGS Master can be downloaded from the DoD Whole Building Design Guide Web Site.

This list contains all the references used in the Master specifications of USACE, NAVFAC and NASA.  It is maintained by the Information Handling Services (IHS). This link connects you to the list, which is hosted on the USACE TECHINFO web site. SpecsIntact also includes the latest Unified Master Reference List (UMRL), the same reference list distributed with the UFGS Master as the master.ref file.  By default, the SpecsIntact Editor will now use the UMRL for reference checking and updating.
